Endless Survival supports the fact that an AFK fishing farm is an acceptable game mechanic in minecraft.
Endless Survival rules state:
"Due to ranks and how money is earned, devices that prevent you being marked as AFK are considered a method of cheating also and are also banned. This will be dealt with by an Admin relative to your gain from them. Sanctions for cheating will be a ban for an undefined amount of time, depending on how often you’ve cheated and whether or not you comply with staff."
Since a fishing farm will prevent you from being marked as AFK, it falls under this rule.
The solution is to obtain an AFK fishing licence by using the application form below. (if you can't see the form, make sure you are registered / logged in).
When your application has been approved you can toggle you afk fishing status on and off by using:
/letmefish - to activate /donefishing - to deactivate /amifishing - to check if you are in fishing mode or not.
You will not recieve playtime towards your rank.
You will not recieve playtime money.
You will be free to use your farm afk and bypass the anti afk server rules.
To protect the server against lag you may cause while being afk for long periods the rules outlined below must be followed with the setup and use of your afk fish farm. Mods will place a sign at your fish farm indicating it has been checked. Please only use these "approved" farms.
AFK Fishing Mode.
It is your responsibility to activate your afk fishing mode by typing /letmefish. If you do not have it activated while using the farm you will be subject to the Endless Survival Rules as laid out HERE (rule number 2) It is your responsibility to deactivate your afk fishing mode by typing /donefishing. If you forget to deactivate it staff will not add lost playtime or money.
The Area Around and Your Fish Farm
Lighting: The area around your farm should be well lit to prevent mob spawns. This includes caves within range. (spawning range is 128 blocks from where you stand to fish). *Tip* Building your fishing farm in the sky near build limit on a well lit platform will eliminate the need for most area lighting apart from the platform you created.
Other Farms: The fishing farm must be far enough away from all other farms so they are not active. These include, but are not limited to, mob spawners (both natural spawns or dungeon spawners), villager breeders, redstone based crop farms (wheat, sugarcane, pumpkin, melon, potato, carrot or beetroot), animal farms (chicken, cow, pig, sheep etc as well as egg farms).
Item/Loot Storage: You must have sufficient storage for all the loot you collect You must have effecient overflow protection for your loot. (ie comparitor clock and dispenser into lava)
Item Transportation: Items should be moved to storage in covered hoppers (covered with a block with an inventory such as a furnace, dispenser, dropper etc) and not use item elevators or waterstreams involving clocks. (the only clock you should have is for the item overflow described above).
Other: If the server has a large online playercount and is experincing lag, we will possibly kick you from the game to reduce server load. (the kick reason will be "Lag Reduction")
As more and more of you get invested in this map, your farms and areas become more automated and elaborate. Your loaded area contributes towards the total server load.
We are tying to make playtime plesant and as lag free for everyone who is activley playing, so our goal is to make you have as little impact on the server as possible while you are afk yet still be able to fish for loot.
Our priority is always non afk players! (this icludes you when you are activley playing too)
There is no cost for this but your area must be setup before you apply!
